If you have questions about any of the saddles you’ve seen on the site or would like to contact us for any reason, we encourage you to call our shop at (800) 442-9672. Though most of our employees specialize in different equine disciplines, they all have a broad knowledge of the products we carry and would be happy to help you. Our store hours are Monday through Saturday 11-5 EST, and Sundays by appointment .

Edie Tschorn was the original owner of Trumbull Mountain Tack Shop. Edie, who had over thirty years of working with horses in  training and competition used that expertise to make Trumbull one of the best saddle shops around. Her vision and commitment to customer service is what still inspires people to pick Trumbull Mountain as the “go to place” for saddle shopping.

Jay McGarry is one of the  owners of Trumbull Mountain Tack shop.  She began riding later in life after she retired from her twenty year career as a certified ski instructor and assistant ski school director.  She has competed in both eventing and dressage for several years, even competing at the American Eventing Championships on one of her three Thoroughbreds. She is currently eventing her OTTB Siseio.

Jay has attended some of the US based training clinics including the Intro Course, the Practical Course in Bench Flocking and Refitting of Saddles, and the Practical Course in On-Site Reflocking and Adjustments conducted by the English Society of Master Saddlers and plans to continue her education in this area.

Her other interests include skiing, golf, gardening and rug hooking. She  has a side business called Jaybird Designs, in which she designs and creates jewelry for wholesale.

She lives in Vermont with her family, husband Rich, son, Brady,  one dog, two cats, four horses and one pony. Jay can be reached at jay@trumbullmtn. com

Brady McGarry writes “Brady’s Blog” for Trumbull Mountain’s monthly newsletter.  Brady is an eventer  currently competing “Frosted Mist”,(Hammie),  his opinionated Connemara and riding “Frost on the Punkin” , (Punky), his pony. Brady’s other interests include Alpine Ski racing, golf and tennis.

Rich McGarry is co-owner of Trumbull Mountain Tack Shop.  He comes to this business with over twenty years in the ski industry,  bringing a wealth of business and customer service skills.  Rich’s other hobbies include golf, skiing, surfing and mountain biking.  Although Rich doesn’t ride, he can frequently be seen helping at horse shows or mountain biking on the trails beside Brady’s pony. Paige Skipper  is  an avid eventer who does most of her schooling in Brownsville, VT where she lives. Paige has a wealth of horse experience,  including being a working student and starting horses  for both Denny Emerson of Tamarack Hill Farm and Susan Berrill of Greylock Farm.  Currently, she is riding a five year old Irish Sport Horse named Irish Sea that she hopes to train and compete up the levels in eventing. Previously, she competed “Johnny”, a Quarter Horse X through training level. Her other interests include hiking, camping, and reading.
