Edie Tschorn, the original owner of Trumbull Mountain Tack shop has a vast amount saddle fitting expertise that comes from over 30 years of training and competition. She also is an airplane fancier, and holds a commercial pilots license and flight instructor ratings. Edie’s husband, Dr. Reginald Tschorn is an Equine specialist, and her work with him has brought valuable insight to her fitting knowledge. You may email Edie at: edie@trumbullmtn.com

Nancy is the distance rider in our group. She and her Arabian mare, Rianon, (affectionately called, her “War Mare”) have completed many CTR’s and Endurance rides together, while loving every mile. She often says, “It’s more fun than any woman should be allowed to have in one day!” She was instrumental in designing the Black Country Equinox and has a ton of experience fitting Arabs, Morgans and other wide backed breeds. She’s been with Trumbull Mountain for 11 years, so, she’s seen and has helped with a wide variety of saddle fitting issues. Rarely seen in the indoor arena, Nancy and Rianon love nothing more than camping together and exploring new trails. When not on horseback, Nancy enjoys great film and great books and is a damn good cook!
She’s always happy to bring saddles for you to try when she’s competing at an east coast ride. Check out the Endurance Connection . You may email Nancy at: nancy@trumbullmtn.com

Kitt Hazelton is our in-house saddle fitter and dressage specialist. A life-long horsewoman, she’s been a dressage addict since the early 1980s, having ridden, taught and trained here in VT and in Los Angeles, CA. A self-proclaimed “dressage red neck”, she and her Hanoverian mare, Lyric, have been together since Lyric was a long yearling. In addition to their journey through classical dressage, they enjoy long meanders on the back roads of VT, where Lyric attempts to indulge her penchant for chasing motorized vehicles. Kitt will be happy to help you with your dressage and saddle fitting needs, and can take care of your reflocking, fit adjustment and repair needs as well. She’s available by appointment here at the shop for fittings and consultations, and travels to barns for evaluations and fitting/flocking adjustments.
Kitt is also a prolific writer/blogger, avid gardener, enthusiastic photographer and dedicated martial artist (Koro Ken Karatedo, presently sa- kyu [first degree brown belt]). She lives in the woods of Vermont with her husband and two sons. She can be reached at kitt@trumbullmtn.com.
