We’re often
asked, “Why don’t you have a shopping cart on your
web site? Why do we have to call the shop to
order?”
We don’t have a
shopping cart because, quite simply, we don’t think
buying a saddle is usually a “point-and-click” kind
of purchase, and we don’t believe that approach
gives our customers what they deserve.
Our customer
service is what sets us apart from every other
saddle shop. We want to learn about you and your
horse(s). We want to find out what discipline and
level you ride, ask you about your future plans,
your budget, your likes and dislikes, learn about
the facility where you keep your horse, get a little
history of any problems you’ve run into. Often, we
can make recommendations that can save you some
money, time or problems. If you’re a tall person
who fox hunts a 16.3 hand Irish Draught, we might
recommend our signature line Killington II or the
Black Country Wexford. If you’re a petite dressage
rider, the Passier Relevant might be your best
choice. If you’re having problems with saddle fit,
do you need the Wintec Raised Front pad, the Mattes
Correction half-pad, or should you perhaps look into
having your saddle re-flocked?
At Trumbull Mtn.,
we’re not just “sales associates”. We’re all
experienced horse people with many years of
experience (probably more years that we’d care to
admit!), and we know the importance of getting
answers to your questions and choosing the right
saddle. Trumbull Mtn. Tack Shop is dedicated to –
and was built by – listening to our customers and
learning from them. In a self-serve, big-box-store
kind of world, we believe customer service is a
dying art, and we’re going to do everything we can
to keep it alive.
