Brady’s Blog November 2009

As you know, in the previous newsletter,  I told you that I would tell you how I got Punky.  He started off as a companion for one of my mom’s horses after we got him from the Vermont State Fair.  The fair is only ten days and the rest of the time they needed homes to board the ponies until the next fair.  They wouldn’t let us buy him so, my mom decided to get him. Pretty soon, I wanted to ride him. He bowled over my mom the first time she tried to put a saddle on him. That wasn’t the Quantum I have now.  We thought he was four, but, he was only two.  My mom let me ride him for a little and then we would return him to the fair for the ten days.  This continued for a few years. Punky eventually pulled the “bad boy” act with the people at the fair and they didn’t want him back, so we got to buy him.  Now he is fairly well behaved, but the first time I rode him…. To be continued.
